The Local Federal Coordinating Committee
for the Arizona Combined Federal Campaign (Apache,
Cochise, Coconino, Gila, Graham, Greenlee, La Paz, Mohave,
Navajo, Pinal, Pima, Santa Cruz, Yavapai and Yuma
Counties) will be accepting Local Independent Organization
and Local Federation applications for inclusion in the
2010/2011 Combined Federal Campaign starting: January
18, 2010 and ending February 19, 2010.
All applications must be
postmarked no later than February 19, 2010
Local applications are available on the
Arizona CFC website at
www.cfcaz.org, by email request to
cfc@unitedwaytucson.org or by calling 520-903-9000
X255.
Note: The Arizona CFC and the
Maricopa County CFC have agreed to continue a joint local
application approval process for the 2010 CFC. Local
independent organizations and local federations located in
Arizona that apply to and are accepted by either the
Arizona CFC (0051) or the Maricopa County CFC (0052) and
meet the application requirements of the other CFC will be
approved by both LFCCs and will be listed once in the
local organization section of the 2010 Arizona CFC Charity
List and once in the local organization section of the
2010 Maricopa County CFC Charity List. Charitable
agencies located in Arizona should only apply to one CFC.
Agencies located in Maricopa County should apply to the
Maricopa County CFC. Agencies located in any county of
Arizona except Maricopa County should apply to the Arizona
CFC.
During previous application cycles, errors
and inaccurate completions have resulted in several
agencies being denied participation. Training sessions
will be conducted by the Arizona CFC Director and by the
Maricopa County CFC Director. Applicants can attend any of
the training sessions. These training sessions will be
helpful to applicants and the charities that attended the
2009 training found the application process to be much
easier as a result of the training.
The Office of Personnel Management/Office
of CFC Operations has established requirements for
submitting the 2010 application. All federal regulations
and guidelines will be adhered to in screening
applications, and inaccurate or incomplete applications
will not be approved and may not be allowed to submit an
appeal for correction.
Reservations for the training sessions
will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
